FishingMobile Privacy Policy

FishingMobile (“FishingMobile” or “we” or “us” or “our” or other similar pronouns) takes your privacy matters very seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy (“Policy”). This Policy details how we receive, collect and use information in connection with our website located at www.fishingmobile.org (the “Website”), the FishingMobile mobile application (the “Mobile Application”), and other products and services provided on the Website (all of the foregoing, collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information We Collect

At FishingMobile, we collect information from our subscribers in order to help us provide you with better and more relevant services.

We collect information in two different ways:

A.   Information that you give us.

When you install the Mobile Application and register, or register on the Website, you will be asked to provide us with your name, gender, date of birth, and email address. Alternatively, you may choose to log in with a social media account, which will result in us receiving your name, gender, profile picture, and email address. You will also have the videos, post fish logs, create custom riggings and lures, or enter information regarding accounts that you may have at other social media sites (such as Facebook or Twitter) in order to push information to your accounts on those sites. Finally, you may occasionally be asked to complete surveys in which we request information regarding your opinions, habits, preferences and experiences.

B.   Information that we get from your use of our services.

We may collect information about the services that you use and how you use them, like when you visit a website that uses our advertising services or you view and interact with our Mobile Application, ads and content. This information includes:

i.   Device information

When you download the Mobile Application, we may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers). FishingMobile may associate this information with your FishingMobile Account.

ii.   Analytics/Log information

When you use the Mobile Application or the Website, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs, and on our analytics platforms.

iii.   Location information

Certain features on the Mobile Application require you to allow us to determine and use your location. We also track location for the purpose of summarizing the broad localities of our users. In connection with this, we may collect and process information about your actual location, like GPS signals sent by a mobile device. We may also use various technologies to determine location, such as sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers.

iv.   Contacts

There is an "invite your friends" feature within some versions of the app. This works by finding friends to invite from your contacts. Actual contact(s) you select will be temporarily processed through our server(s) for the purpose of sending the invitation(s) and not for any other purpose.

v.   Local storage

We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application databases and caches.

vi.   Cookies, Clear GIFs and Other Automatically Collected Data

If you have permitted your computer to accept cookies, we may use cookies on the Website. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies make web-surfing easier by saving preferences and browsing patterns while you are at the Website. Cookies may be used to analyze the Website usage, improve content, customize the Website’s content and layout and for other customer service purposes. A cookie may enable us to relate your use of our Website to other information about you, including your personal information. All of these purposes serve to improve and personalize your experience on our Website. Most Web browsers can be set to inform you when a cookie has been sent to you and provide you with the opportunity to refuse that cookie. Additionally, if you have a Flash player installed on your computer, your Flash player can be set to reject or delete Flash cookies. However, refusing a cookie may, in some cases, preclude you from using, or negatively impact the display or function of, the Website or certain areas or features of the Website.

We may use “clear GIFs” (sometimes referred to as “Web beacons” or “pixel tags”) or similar technologies, in the Website and/or in our communications with you to enable us to evaluate Website usage information about visitors to the Website, target campaigns, upgrade visitor information, and know whether you have visited a Web page or received a message. A clear GIF is typically a one-pixel, transparent image (although it can be a visible image as well), located on a Web page or in an e-mail or other type of message, which is retrieved from a remote site on the Internet enabling the verification of an individual’s viewing or receipt of a Web page or message. A clear gif may enable us to relate your viewing or receipt of a Web page or message to other information about you, including your personal information.

Our servers may automatically collect data about your Internet address when you visit us. This information, known as an Internet Protocol address, or IP Address, is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider whenever you are on the Internet. When you request pages from the Website, our servers may log your IP Address and, if applicable, your domain name. Your IP Address is used to help identify you and to gather demographic information about our members and users as a whole, but does not include personally identifiable information. Our server may also record the referring page that linked you to us (e.g., another web site or a search engine); the pages you visit on the Website; the web site you visit after the Website; the ads you see and/or click on; other information about the type of Web browser, computer, platform, related software and settings you are using; any search terms you have entered on the Website or a referral site; and other Web usage activity and data logged by our servers. We use this information for internal system administration, to help diagnose problems with our servers, and to administer our Services. Such information may also be used to gather demographic information, such as country of origin and Internet Service Provider.

We will not link any personal information, including e-mail addresses, with aggregate data of our users.

Any or all of these activities with regard to Website usage information may be performed on our behalf by our services providers, including, for example, an analytics vendor or an e-mail management partner.
