Monday Minute 11/23 - The Enemy of Great

If you are reading from certain parts of the midwest I hope you are staying warm!

This week I started a new book called Good To Great  by Jim Collins, I'm sure some of you have already read it, the first sentence of the book made me stop and think for several minutes, it read: "Good is the enemy of great."  How powerful is that statement to open a book?!  Really stop and think about it.

It is an absolute simple truth. So many of us want to be "good" at a lot of things, or good in our careers, our marriages and relationships.  Even most companies are happy with just "good."  Why are we settling for good? Why aren't we pushing to be Great!?   What's so satisfying about good that makes people and companies stop there when Great outweighs good 10 fold.

I have just scratched the surface of getting into this book and I am excited to finish it!  This week challenge yourself in your thinking, challenge yourself in questioning, "how am I approaching each task?"  "Am I doing them "good" or Great!"

Have an awesome week everyone!

Best,

Jordan Miller

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be...
